BIOEAST Bioeconomy Conference - From Strategy to Impact: Inclusive Decision-Making in National Bioeconomy Action Plans

BIOEAST Bioeconomy Conference “From Strategy to Impact: Inclusive Decision-Making in National Bioeconomy Action Plans” will be held on 22-23 April 2026 in Zadar.

The conference is organized within the framework of the BOOST4BIOEAST project with the aim of bringing together stakeholders from Central and Eastern Europe to discuss the development and implementation of bioeconomy action plans, aligned with European Union policies and challenges such as climate change, food security, and resource efficiency.

This year’s edition of the conference focuses on the evaluation of national bioeconomy action plans, with a particular focus on their policy implications, future impacts, and applicability at national, macro-regional, and European levels.

The conference objectives include:

an overview of the development of the BIOEAST initiative and its role in the context of European policies,
presentation of the national Bioeconomy Strategy until 2035.
encouraging dialogue among stakeholders through thematic and interactive sessions,
exchange of knowledge on action plans and implementation of activities in the bioeconomy.

Participants will have the opportunity to participate in networking, knowledge exchange, and a poster session with examples of good practices in the field of bioeconomy.

The conference is part of a wider event dedicated to the BIOEAST initiative and bioeconomy topics.

The official language of the conference is English.
